NEED INSPO?

The San Miguel Current has several ongoing projects and assignments. If you are unsure what you want to contribute, and would like to receive a story assignment, please reach out to us at info@thesanmiguelcurrent.org.

Some of our ongoing projects are:

‘Women in Business: Community Spotlight’

The Current is working with a number of students to interview women who work in male-dominated fields. If you know of a woman in our community whose work should be spotlighted, reach out to us. We can share our list of interview questions and resources for conducting a successful interview.

‘Current Style’

The Current is trying to highlight student style in all three communities. If you would like to be involved in photography student style that stands out to you, please contact us for more information.

‘We talk Sports: Student Athlete Profiles’

The Current wants to capture the range of sports that students are involved with. In ‘who talks what,’ student athletes share their perspectives and accomplishment in different sports. If you know a friend who is a student athlete that deserves to get spotlighted in our magazine, please contact us for more information. (RIGHT NOW, WE ARE LOOKING SPECIFICALLY FOR: SKIIERS, ANYONE INVOLVED IN RODEO/MUTTON BUSTING, ROCK CLIMBERS, MOUNTAINEERS, AND HUNTERS.)

What will the magazine look like?

The magazine will be a thick, high gloss print, and available for distribution for free to students, and for purchase to community members. Think of fancy real estate magazines, or any issues of fashion magazines like Vogue, or Elle.
