we needed a way to publish our work.

OUR VOICES DESERVE TO BE HEARD.

Fall 2023. Staff at True North Youth Program realized there weren’t any publications dedicated to student work in Telluride, Norwood, or Nucla. So, The San Miguel Current was created.

The San Miguel Current is a collaboration between students, True North staff, school staff, local newspapers, and other community partners. It aims to help students develop a voice and platform to discuss and celebrate issues and ideas important to them.

True North Youth Program believes in the San Miguel Current as a way for students to build their resumes, their professional and creative skills, and their sense of confidence and identity.

OUR FIRST MAGAZINE WILL BE PUBLISHED IN MAY 2024.*

*Date and distribution TBA
